My name is Mickey, hence ‘Yoga with Mickey’. I was born and raised in Windsor, England (the one with the castle). I left the UK, in my early twenties, as the proverbial Inter-railer. To cut a long story short, I fell in love and ended up living on Santorini (the one on everyone’s bucket list), where I have lived the last thirty years, working and raising two kids.
My journey into the world of yoga began in the mid nineties, when I suffered my first asthma attack. I came across a couple of videos (yup, that long ago), and was astounded at how quickly the yoga movements, flows and breathing made me feel better . The more I practiced the more I noticed the effect it also had on my emotional and mental states. It was at this point that I started looking more seriously into a formal training. As luck (or the divine universe) would have it , it was around this time that a Dru yoga instructor happened to come to Santorini and hold a workshop.
It has not always been smooth sailing, there have been a few storms along the way. But I have practiced what I teach and learnt to love myself for who I am, learnt to love my body for what it is and learnt to help others whenever I am able to find their inner strength and peace .
Now I cant imagine my life without yoga in it.
