Yoga is all about balancing the body, heart and mind by using the heart as the pivotal point around which all else revolves.  Dru is a graceful and potent form of yoga, based on soft flowing movements, directed breathing and visualisation. Dru translates as ‘north star’ and represents our ‘inner still-point’

Taster Session

If you are still not sure if Dru yoga is for you, you can try out one of our taster sessions. These light and fun sessions will let you explore Dru yoga at minimal cost.

Benefits of Yoga​

The benefits of yoga are numerous. The most obvious benefits are, improved flexibility, as well as increased muscle strength and tone. Regular practice of yoga can also help build confidence, sharpen focus, and boost emotional and mental well-being. 

It can be used to help smooth the many emotional, physical and mental transitions we face in life; be it a job change, difficulties within a relationship, the shift into menopause, rehabilitation or coping with depression.

It’s true,  yoga can help with all this and more.  

I could throw words at you like – empowering, fulfilling, content, happy – but in truth the best way to find out the benefits of yoga, is to give it a try.  Everyone’s experience is unique.

Miki's Dru yoga lesson is not like other yoga classes- she creates a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that makes everyone feel comfortable, no matter what their ability or possible limitation. She's always ready to offer alternatives and a more 'flexible' approach (no pun intended!) to classic poses and I particularly appreciate the information she provides on how various moves or positions are of benefit on different levels. Body heart and Soul ! Mickeys yoga Lesson is every time a great experience! The warm up is Fun and Mickey explains and shows us the Poses during the lesson very well and offers alternatives for People with different problems. The highlight is the relaxation at the end, we all leave the lesson fresh and positive!
